Re-live your sports memories of youth

For those who love "old school" sports and revel in "the way things ought to be," this is a great place to read and discuss your recollection of memorable sports events, teams, players, and moments.

While I enjoy keeping up with the latest stars and "strife," it's that very last word that sometimes, really too often, conveys the current world we live in. Athletes and owners, frequently appearing to be only interested in the almighty $$$, tend to turn me off from following the modern age with the same kind of zeal I did in days gone by.

Those days we grew up in--with their lunch pail players and fans who knew who their teams were comprised of (pre-free agency)--deserve to be treasured.

This is the place to do just that. We can cover basically any aspect of that era (generally, the 60's), a period when many of us Boomers experienced our likely fondest youthful impressions.

Mainly, we'll just have a lot of fun!
